Some say windows are a metaphor to the soul. Windows set the plot exposition of an environment or work of art. Viewers are placed either outside or inside a particular space. When patients and/or hospital workers are closed-in endless corridors and rooms with no windows, an obvious relief would be to give them external stimulus; something to look outward to. |
