A great deal has been written over the years about the positive benefits of art in almost every working environment imaginable and the effects on those working in those environments on a daily basis.
Public Art Works is a group of three professional Rhode Island based artists working together to promote and encourage art in public spaces. Inspired by a shared belief that art is essential for the common interests and well-being of a community, Nancy Gaucher-Thomas, Kenneth Speiser, and Merle Mainelli Poulton have joined together in a collaborative effort to identify and / or create site specific works of art for public and private installation.
Environments are created through our senses. The members of Public Art Works are part of a unique community of artists that help to find the perfect match between the needs of our clients and final execution to insure that expectations of becoming an important place in the lives of those in our communities are met. Public Art Works organizes the procedural elements with which to identify spaces best suited to art within most working environments and ideas for the art itself. In addition, we generate interest within the arts community, and locate the best available creative talent for site specific projects. |
