Photographer, archaeologist and traveler Brigid Shaw exhibits recent work at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island

"Brigid Shaw's photographs pull you into the magnificent landscapes of our nation," said Diana Franchitto, President & CEO of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island. "We are thrilled to have this new installment in our first floor gallery of the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. Many thanks to Brigid and Public Art Works for sharing these spectacular photographs with us!"

"Nature has the power to pull you outside of yourself" says photographer, Brigid Shaw. "It's impossible to stand on a mountain top and not see the enormity of the world, to witness a grand sunset and think the universe is a dull place. As John Muir, the famous naturalist, said, 'The clearest way into the universe is through a forest wilderness.' I have had the pleasure and the good fortune to witness the wilderness in many forms and in many places. My mission is to capture the moments in the world that repeat a million times but never in exactly the same way."

Brigid Shaw is a photographer, archaeologist, and traveler who has lived and worked in parks and forests in seven states. Brigid has spent the last decade exploring the public lands of the United States with their huge landscapes and delicate details through photography as well as in writing at travelofftrail.com.
